In 1990, Joanne Rowling started to write Harry Potter and Sorcerer’s Stone. The book is about an 11-year old boy named Harry Potter who goes to a school called Hogwarts to learn how to become a wizard. The book became a best seller after it was published. In 1998 it was printed.

• J.K Rowling was born July 31, 1965 in Bristol, England. She grew up in a place called Forest of Dean in England. She knew that she wanted to grow up and be a writer. At the age of six, she wrote her first book called Rabbit. Joanne loved to read! She went to Tutshill primary school.
